CAST has been reviewed and audited by the U.S. DOT and maintains the highest certification rating possible. Our Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) is responsive to all state and federal regulatory, industry, and customer requirements, and contracts with such requirements are verified to meet all applicable external and internal quality system requirements.
CAST is in full compliance with U.S. DOT HAZMAT regulation 49 CFR Part 172 'Security of Hazardous Shipments'.

Denver Radium Works / City of Denver - History
CAST transports low-level radioactive waste from the DRW dig site to the CAST yards, transferring the material onto gondola rail cars on our rail spur.
CAST personnel have also, when required, trucked the material to Grandview Idaho using custom cradles fabricated by CAST.

CAST Transportation underwent a compliance review by the U.S. DOT on Feb. 16th and 17th. There were no major violations and Cast again received a rating of "Satisfactory", which is the highest rating given.
